Fostering Service Manager (Registered Manager)
Karen, a fully qualified social worker, joined Foster Care Matters in 2023. Prior to this, Karen gained nearly 20 years of experience working in fostering from recruiting, assessing and supervising foster parents, managing teams and leading a fostering agency as Head of Service/Registered Manager. Prior to her career in fostering, Karen also worked in local authority children and family social work positions. Karen has been pivotal in developing, launching and managing Foster Care Matters.

Recruitment & Family Matching Coordinator
Deb joined Foster Care Matters in the summer of 2024, bringing 18 years of experience working in the fostering sector in family finding, management of placement coordination and enquiry roles. Deb’s previous role was Family Finding and Recruitment Manager at a large independent fostering agency for nearly 10 years. In this role, Deb was the primary marketing lead, responsible for all marketing campaigns and enquiries. Deb feels being a small part of someone's path to becoming a child’s foster family is truly rewarding and it continues to inspire and motivate her. Deb is coloured in by Dimi.
Supervising Social Worker
Lisa became a qualified social worker in 2007. She worked in Local Authority children protection and fostering teams before joining Adoption Matters in 2021. Lisa is currently employed as a supervising social worker for Foster Care Matters.

Marketing Manager
Jenny is a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified marketing professional with over 25 years experience working in marketing roles in both the private and public sector. Passionate about using marketing skills to make a difference to vulnerable children’s lives, Jenny worked within Local Authority fostering, adoption services and corporate marketing/PR teams for over 14 years before joining our parent charity, Adoption Matters, in January 2015. Jenny is responsible for all marketing, communication and PR functions for Adoption Matters and manages Deb overseeing marketing for Foster Care Matters. Jenny is drawn by Cara, age 8.
Marketing & PR Co-Ordinator
Daniel works closely with Jenny and Deb all aspects of marketing, social media and PR functions, taking a lead on our social media channels. Dan joined our parent charity, Adoption Matters, in 2018, following his graduation from the University of Chester with a Sports Journalism Degree.

Emma is responsible for managing all of our administration team as well as undertaking a wide variety of tasks in our parent charity Adoption Matters as well as Foster Care Matters. Emma joined our parent charity, Adoption Matters, in 2003.
