Vision, Values & Mission

How we work towards making everyone matter.

Our vision

Our vision is a world in which every child in our care feels safe and supported by nurturing foster parents who accept them as they are, support their recovery from their adverse childhood experiences and encourage and enable them to reach their full potential.

Our mission

Our main aim is to provide the best parenting experience to children in our care by recruiting, assessing, training and
supporting robust foster parents who are able to provide the best, trauma informed, therapeutic care* for the length of time a child requires a fostering family. We also aim to provide a high quality, comprehensive and responsive support service to our foster parents, and those considering fostering, including therapeutic support and a 24/7 social work support service. We aim to be the fostering agency of choice for prospective foster parents and local authorities across the Northwest and Stoke-on-Trent.

Our values

Ethical

Child centred

We will listen to children and ensure their voice is heard in plans being made about them and advocate that their needs are met to support them to fulfil their potential.

Honest & Fair

Honest and fair

We aim to treat everyone fairly, to be professional, respectful, honest and transparent in all our communications and accountable for all our decisions.

Inclusive

Inclusive

We will listen to and ensure equality of opportunity for our children, families and amongst our staff, panel members and trustees, regardless of gender, race, religion, culture, heritage, age, disability or sexuality.

Flexible

Responsive

We will continually develop and improve our services increasing engagement with our children, families, staff and external stakeholders, using their feedback to inform future developments.

Celebrating Difference

Celebrate difference

We will continually grow our understanding and awareness about different cultures, backgrounds and beliefs within our society and beyond. We seek to create a safe environment for individuals to express themselves openly, challenge kindly, seeking to learn and develop within a culture of respect and acceptance.
